    Each year millions of people come from around the globe to visit Z.National Forest . Since early 1900 when the first automobile entered Z National, the visiting population has increased , but because of the endless network of winding trails here at Z NATIONAL its possible for the lone hiker not to run across anyone for weeks.

Formed millions of years ago by huge asphalt glaciers rushing diagonally and forming what is now Colombus Avenue, Filbert , and Powell St. ,  Z. National slowly took shape.  The endless shifting  of the great continental cement plates momentarily coming to rest, now form the perimeter of the forest.

Due to the location and elevation of the forest its not unusual to experience unbelievable temperature fluctuations from 68 to 72 degrees on any given day, PLEASE DRESS APPROPRIATELY!

There are plenty of accomodations in our simulated camping chambers to help you capture that raw forest experience.

FISH in our spawning conveyer troughs-YOU CAN ALMOST GRAB EM !

Drive through the 4000 year old bionic tree...  Don't miss a visit to our animal surrogate training centers....please wear your protective gloves.

Please stay on designated trails

please use the waste control systems

please check in at the monitoring center before continuing through the forest
