Inside out Bear

Stop Duck !

The Toy Factory all started over a broken toy in the gutter at Christmas time and several beers at a cheap bar.   Matias and I realized there was little for artists to do to contribute to the holiday season.   The local fire Department would receive toy donations , many of which were in really sad shape and could not be distributed to the city children.  We offered to take the toys and transform them into sculptures, then sell the sculptures and give the money back to the firemen and the Toys for Tots Program.  Total recycling.  Artists as well as the general public (whoever walked in through the door) were invited to participate and create something , buy something , or just view the art.  Some amazing things were created.   The project continued annually for five years .  Perhaps we'll do it again.   2006 ?

Thank you,  Anne MacDonald and Art space San Francisco for donating the time and warmth and space.   Matias... one more time.?

Oh yes, Pajamas were provided for work clothes.
